ECB honors grassroots cricket leaders at Impact of Cricket Awards
The England and Wales Cricket Board celebrated the Impact of Cricket Awards 2025 in Leicester. Namita Patel from Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation received the Leading Change award for her transformative leadership in community cricket. Other winners included Warwickshire Cricket Foundation and Victoria Jones from Cricket Wales, showcasing significant contributions to the sport's growth.

The event celebrated the volunteers and organisations that support community cricket throughout England and Wales. Awards were given for dedication and for projects that have widened access to the game, nurtured new talent and strengthened community ties. Richard Gould, the ECB’s Chief Executive Officer, commented on the importance of this work, stating, "Cricket thrives because of the people who volunteer their time and expertise to support the game. Their contribution to the game and to the people around them is immeasurable."
