Four students from India have reached an important milestone by winning a Meritorious Award at the International Mathematical Modelling Challenge (IM²C). The team, made up of Anshveer Bindra, Tanish Rajesh Kulkarni, and brothers Nipun and Vedansh Saha, successfully addressed a complex problem related to wildlife conservation in Namibia. Their project involved developing a mathematical model to manage risks in Etosha National Park, earning them a spot among the top 11 teams out of 68 from 37 countries. This accomplishment showcases the potential of Indian youth in global competitions and emphasizes the role of mathematics in tackling real-world challenges.
